As temperatures drop, many in our community are without the basics to stay warm. The HopeWorks Foundation is launching a Winter Clothing Drive to collect gently used and new winter essentials for vulnerable families across South Africa.

Items we are collecting: coats, sweaters, scarves, gloves, blankets, and beanies. Every item you donate goes directly to someone who needs it.

This July, ten children from our community will experience something many have never had before — a full holiday program in a new environment, surrounded by care, activities, and warmth.

Beyond the fun and adventure, the children will also be exposed to sound Christian principles and teaching. Parents have partnered with the church in order to provide this sort of exposure, with an express desire for their children to be introduced to Jesus through this program.

Hosted by Living Word Church in Alberton, the program runs from Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July. Each day, the children are picked up and dropped off safely, with meals provided and supervised care throughout. The week is packed with activities designed to broaden their horizons, build confidence, and simply let them be kids.

Every child is sponsored at R150 per day per child, covering all costs for the week. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors and the incredible hospitality of Living Word Church.
